Check for and install the latest Windows Update to help correct problems by replacing outdated files, updating drivers, and fixing vulnerabilities.
To install the latest Windows updates:
Select the Start button then settings,
Click Update & security than Windows Update,
Now select Check for updates to allow download and install windows update files from the Microsoft server.
If Windows Update says your PC is current, you have all the current updates.

Press Windows + R, type MSConfig and ok

Right-click it select Properties, and then uncheck the Read-only option.
Now again right-click and delete the folder “Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe“
Restart windows.
Now open PowerShell (admin) using windows + x key
Type following command and press enter key to execute the same
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}.
Reboot the PC. Now you can launch the Microsoft Edge browser. It is working properly.
Run DISM and SFC utility
Try to run the DISM command with System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any file corruption. SFC scan will scan for corrupt system files on the computer and repair them.
Search for command prompt, right-click and select run as administrator,
In the Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
sfc /scannow

Check with a different user account
Also You may check the same issue with the new user account. Try these steps to create a new user account and check if it fixes the issue.
Refer to the steps below to create a new User Account:
Go to Settings.
Choose Accounts and then select Family & Other User Accounts towards the left.
Click add someone else to this PC
A new popup opens with the option to add a user with a Microsoft account, Enter the email address of the person and follow on-screen instructions.
Also, you can click “I don’t have this person’s sign-in information” to create a Microsoft account you can choose a user name and follow on-screen instructions to create a Microsoft account.
Or you can click Add a user without a Microsoft account to create a local user account on your PC.
Enter a user name and hit Next.
Click on Finish.
Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
Check if the issue persists.
