windows 10 creators update Clean up and update this PC feature
Normally Surfing the Internet will inevitably lead to a variety of system problems. Such as file corruption, malicious program attacks, and so on. With this Windows can become sluggish, and beset with problems. Or some times if you get hit with malware ransomware in particular or encounter major hardware problems, your only option might be to reinstall Windows.
Windows 10 Creators Update is the upcoming major update to Windows 10. It will add plenty of new features to the operating system and Clean up and update this PC ( a new Reset option. ) is one of them. Normally Windows 10 had only two reset options – Refresh/Keep my files and Reset/Remove everything. To reinstall Windows in case of windows gets infected with malware, ransomware in particular, or encounter major hardware problems. From Settings > Update & recovery > Recovery. Click the Get started button under Reset this PC and you’ll have the option to keep your files (removes apps and settings only) or remove everything (a totally fresh start).
Starting with Windows 10 Insider Preview build 14986, Microsoft introduced a third new system reset option named “Clean up and update this PC” On the Upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update.
Note that this new “Cleanup” feature may be incomplete or still in development, and that’s probably why Microsoft didn’t add the option to the “Reset My PC” Settings user interface. If you wish to test this feature, it’s a good idea to do it in a virtual machine environment, or after creating a full image backup.
